The Making of A Champion

I Must Be Doing Something Right

February has been a good month so far. I have given up cash games and concentrated on sit and gos and tournaments exclusively. I have a 41% cash rate and and only twice did I not make the final table in a sit and go.

I love the 27 and 45 player sit and gos on all the sites. I play the big tournaments and do make deep runs. For me it is all about consistency and profit. Granted one huge score would really help but daily grinding is what will pay the bills.

I still play the steps and satellites to the majors like everyone else. I dream of playing in a WPT or WSOP event everyday but I know for that to happen I need to win through satellites or build a bankroll. I am not counting on the satellites so it is the second option. The daily tournament fields are so huge that consistent profits are just not possible.

This brings me back to sit and gos. They seem to be what I am good at. They don't take much time. A lot of inexperienced players play them so the profits are there. I guess all the studying and practice is starting to pay off.

See you at the tables and good luck unless you are playing against me.
