Hello Poker School Onliners!  What a community!  I have spent a bit of time browsing through the school and am amazed (and somewhat overwhelmed) at the quantity of information there is available here.  The price is certainly right too!

I wanted to introduce myself briefly.  As some of you may know, I will be doing a live question and answer period with Dave this coming Sunday (1500EST) while I play the 1/2 priced tournaments.  I expect to be playing the Women's Sunday, the Sunday Million for your viewing pleasure!  I am really excited to be able to chat live with many of you!

In summary, my name is Adrienne, I have been playing real money poker for the last 10 years.  I started playing poker the same year that I graduated University (2002) so it is easy enough to remember!

When I first played in Edmonton, I would play at Palace Casino in West Edmonton Mall (the biggest mall in the world....yes bigger than Mall of America even).  We would play full ring $3/$6 Limit "Half-Half", where we would play 30 minutes of Hold 'em followed by 30 minutes of Omaha (high only).  I picked up the games fairly easily and had decent successes, I would play probably 4-5 times a week after work.

Along came 2003, and that guy named Moneymaker, well shortly thereafter the limit games really died down in the casino and everyone was playing NL.  I didn't mind NL, but it never clicked with me and I enjoyed live play less and less.  Thankfully, the online world was booming too.  I started playing on PokerStars around that time and loved the flexibility it gave me in my day to day life.

I started out playing limit Hold 'Em games and eventually moved to Omaha H/L with an occaisional side of 8 game.  I like playing MTTs, but wow they can be demoralizing at times!  That is probably what I am spending the most of my time working on these days, dealing with the emotional swings of MTTs and different strategies.

My notable poker successes in the last year were final tabling the Canada Cup (a MTT for Canadians where the final table played out in the Bahamas), I finished a rough 8th (you can actually watch it at pokerstars.tv) but the next day played in the $1,000 OE (Omaha H/L and Stud H/L) and I took it down, so that helped ease the burn!  I finished 4th in the WCOOP 8 game last fall, and have had a few other scattered tourney wins on PokerStars.

This is quickly becoming "tl;dr" (I just learnt what that means), but I am really looking forward to Sunday, if you can't make it and want to follow up with me, there are many ways to find me.  Write on my wall on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/talonchick) send me a tweet (@talonchick) or read up on my blog (http://www.talonchick.com). See....lots of ways.

Until Sunday PSOers!  Namaste!
