Battle for Team USA roster is heating up in ACP

By: teepack @ 16:06 (EDT) / 347 / Comment ( 1 )
With only two more matches left in the America's Cup of Poker, Team USA is once again dominating the "regular season," compiling a 7-0 record heading into its final two matches. Team USA is assured of a berth in the eight-team ACP, which will be played May 30-31 in Rosario, Argentina.
It appears that Albatross75 and foldin 11 have all but locked up two of the four available spots on Team USA, but according to my unofficial standings (and I emphasize "unofficial" , a handful of players are locked in a tight battle for the final spot.
Through Sunday's $11 match with Team Brazil, at least seven players are within striking range of third place. Among the players battling it out for the final two spots are igotdblues, xmanmitch, JJems, tigatele, Cougars, JohnnyMac111 and yours truly.
With only 11 tournaments left after Monday night's opening matchups with Argentina, the pressure is on for those in the battle for the final two spots on Team USA. Any slip-up now could be costly.
