How do you let go of pocket pairs?

By: tyrantrex @ 17:18 (EDT) / 251 / Comment ( 3 )

Hey guys,

So a few days ago, I was playing in the $.27 tourney and I was really deep.  I came in 80th out of about 1200 runners.  At the end, I failed to take into account the position of an all in player in combination with how many players were behind me.  A bigger stack was behind me, so when I reshoved to try to isolate an early-position all-in, I got snap called by aces from the big stack behind me.  I had a small pocket pair.  His aces held.  I was out.

So what I'm trying to get around to here is, how do you let go of pocket pairs?  Although I know all the problems with my play after the fact, how do you enforce what you should know at the table and let small-medium pocket pairs go in a tournament?
