Change is good - adjust!

By: ursharkfuel @ 16:48 (EDT) / 349 / Comment ( 0 )
Much has been said about the new leagues and points structure but I think change is GOOD (read more for the details)! Some folks don't handle change well and would rather things remain the same forever. These folks want things to stay the same because they are comfortable. Getting too comfortable my friends leads to another thing known as stagnation. If your play, and this site for that matter, stagnates, it could lead to another phase in your game evolution, as well as the site evolution knows as DEATH. And death is the ultimate end. The end of development as a player, growth of the site, contributions our players make to the game of poker and so on. Another contributor to player stagnation is being diagnosed with bad case of "hardening of the attitude." If you are diagnosed with this condition get help quick!! It will kill your game, destroy relationships, and could quite possibly take your life if left untreated for a long period. At the very least it will make you very miserable and those around you as well. I for one like change because it forces you to change your game, strategy, approach and so on. It is one of the attractions to poker because it is not the same ole same ole, it is a dynamic game. A flexible poker player is a good poker player. So I say embrace the changes, support the site and we will all win in the end!! Ok, who is next on the soapbox I am stepping down for the next speaker.....
