2NL is where it begins

So this is my first blog post. I'll start by introducing myself, my name is Tom and i have been playing poker for about 3 years and started playing on stars for real money around 2 years ago when i turned 18.

I've always played SNGs mainly 9 man $1.50s. But recently i've decided to make the transition into the cash game field. I needed something new to try and so far i'm enjoying my time at the cash tables.

I've been a cash game player less than 96 hours, but i feel like i am adapting quite well to the new surroundings. I've started with 2NL full ring regular speed tables and i feel like i'm slowly picking up on the new concept that cash games offer, such as wider hand ranges etc.

The first session i played was solid, finishing with $1.10+ after 500 hands which i was quite pleased with. I watched a few videos on the PSO archive and they were great help, the hand reviews from Frosty being a particular favourite.

However my 2nd session was not so successfull, i completely bombed it and tilted after a tough hand and finished -$2.25 in just under 300 hands. I played very badly and was incredibly frustrated with my hands.

Third session was back up to $3.12 over 800 hands which i was over the moon with.

The 2NL blog shall continue.

Tom.
