Actually Jane, it was cuz my brother had our one car that weekend and I couldn't get there.

I'll make it next time (if I'm still in Minnesota then).

Suzi -

What time do you expect to be there on Saturday? I'll play on Sunday form 8:00am to noon - They have a cheap tourney that is in a bit of a silly format, but it is $12 for a 1 in 10 chance at winning $200 - and skill is a fairly small part of the equation in winning this.

Anyway, if you know when you are going to be there, I'd like to stop by and at least say "Hi". I would like to learn a bit more about the Iowa card clubs/casinos.

Hope to see you this weekend!

Hey Mike,

Even if I go see Suzi and Reck on Sat nite, I think I might come play the crapshoot Sunday morning. Look for me just in case.

Sounds good Aaron - Hope to see you!

In my entire morning session last week I won only two hands. Luckily one of the hands I won was the last hand in the first hour of the tournament - which resulted in a win for the day. Such is the nature of the Cantebury Crapshoot!.

Suzanne and Rob -

It was great meeting you on Saturday! I hope you had a super weekend. You picked the right Vikings game to go to. After playing Sunday morning, I did make it down for a few more hours early evening on Sunday, but I suspect you guys were having fun with post-game parties.

Let me know when you plan to be in the neighborhood again. Rob, you had mentioned the possibility of a get to gether at a card club in the quad cities - keep me posted, I'd be up for that!

Aaron, if you stopped by this weekend, sorry I missed you.

Mike,

Great meeting with you too, it is really neat to be able to put faces to screennames. We didn't get back until about 7 pm after the game. We ended up playing until 3:30 in the morning. Great action in the games. Suzi picked up about 300 in the 3-6 game, and I ended up losing about 70. Not bad overall for some pots with 9 callers with the bet capped preflop....

Really do hope we can set something up in the Quad Cities. Keep you posted.....

Thanks again for taking the time to come and meet and play cards with us... 8)

Ugh, sorry I missed you two. I did stop by Sunday, but I guess you weren't there (I must have just missed you Mike).

Mike, if you ever do make that trip to the Quad Cities, let me know. I'd like to tag along. I'm only going to be in Minnesota for another three months, though.
