Just finished talking to Hukilau who is in Connecticut this week at the World Poker Finals and last night he won a super sat and a seat into the $10,000 NLHE!!!

However, he has a non-refundable ticket to return to Hawaii on Monday so is faced with a dilema.... Should he figure out a way to stay until the big event or go home satisfied with having won the seat but not playing...

What do you all think? I will print out the replies here and bring them to him when I go back to Foxwoods on Saturday....

 Wowwee congrats big time to Hukilau, big question can he afford it. :

If he can by all means stay try to sell the seat or play in it. What a big step for Hukilau and PSO.

      Can't wait to go to Tunica.

we are all pleased to learn just how well he has done

we are allways hearing "it all depends" on our poker situations, and that's the way it is with him

he may not have the time, he may not have the money, so it depends on just what he can do. I hope he is able to play, because it may be that chance of a lifetime. possibly he needs to go home, but could fly back in time for the big event

whatever he does, he should be proud of his win. we are

Maybe Huk could sell some of his action? That way he could cover the cost of a new ticket and extended stay, while still having the opportunity to play and a shot at at still-pretty-big score?

Hukilau deserves great praise for the satellite win. Although I'm sure he started the school with lots of poker talent and skills, I'm also sure that the experience here must have helped him a bit.

- perhaps PSO is not only about bad beats and mainacs, as some seem to indicate.

Now a question. Why would anyone spend money to play in a satellite for an event they can't play in [non-refundable airline ticket] to win a seat they can't sell [non-transferable]?

What am I missing here?

My couch for your babysitting services.

Ok, here is the deal. I am going to post my opinion on this dilema. After I do that, I will ask that HUK, on the honor system, of course, post when he returns the answer to a couple of questions.

First, my vote on whether he should stay or go home:

If Huk can manage to purchase another airline ticket, or work some sort of deal with the airlines, I say STAY and PLAY. Of course, only HUK is the one who knows his situation re: time/money. All of us at PSO are so very proud...and I for one wish I had that decision to make ...

NOW, my questions...
1) Is gatorhb as pretty in person as her picture? and..
2) IS THAT HER REAL HAIR????

ops:  :P

First and most importantly, congratulations Huk a fantastic achievement.

But..........a dilemma..............Hmm let's see,

1) Airline ticket, annoyingly expensive but available any day of the week and might even be purchased more cheaply through various outlets.

2) $10,000 seat in NLHE tourney, possibly could win money, could pay for another ticket, could lead to world recognition, could lead to TV, film, chat show, radio contracts......(well, it could happen!)

3) How could you live with yourself if you passed up the chance to participate?

I Guess I echo the AZ solution

IT's A NO BRAINER! GO FOR IT HUK!

WTG Huk! I am sure our strategy session/mai-tai-a-thon was the key to your victory.

Whatever your decision, GREAT JOB! I hope you win the tourney, and stay on the mainland until Tunica!

Tough one, I would really like to suggest that Huk plays. However, I understand that it might be impossible due to other commitments.

There is one other reason for playing that nobody else has mentioned yet.......... The main event is also a World Poker Tour event and the winner will receive a seat in the $25,000 buyin WPT final at the Bellagio next year. Also the main event will be televised.

Got much of an ego Huk? If you can, go for it. You must have felt that you had "A few outs" when you entered the super satellite. I think that you already know you are going to play

Good news all!!!

Huk got 4th in another supersat and made $4,500!! So, he has decided he is going to play the main event....

He is considering selling part of the action if there is any interest....

Although I already got a piece of the action and I can't figure out why I haven't gotten any money 8O 8O Maybe it would be best to find out exactly what this means..... 8O

Hmmm
I dont' understand the "selling part of his action" part since his seat is already paid for. I thought people did that to help with their entry fee..and in return, if the person wins, the person with some of their action gets money back....or am I confused? that wouldn't surprise me, so speak up !!
