Very moving piece. Thanks for sharing.

However, I would refrain from posting without including a copyright notice. As I understand it, such activities can hinder your future possibilities for a piece of intelluctual property.

You will then be able to hook up with some very talented peers, and network with theones who can direct you to the major players.

Letters to myself can become a series of books with the characters.

Nora Roberts has made those books, so has John Stanford. They are definitely formulated, but what's interesting, however, is that the stories twists and turns give them fresh new concepts every time.

You're right in that, all the other story lines have been done.
What you need to do is write with the idea it can become an original screenplay for a movie or mini-series.

I really feel IMHO you have a winning book with Letters, EXPAND on it.
