I was wanting to make a poker website not to play poker but like an info site does anyone know if this is legal in the US. or were I could find the info I need

unless you plan on telling poker players how to make bombs, set off nuclear devices, derail the government of this or any other country, produce toxic chemicals or sell illegal drugs.. you can make a web page about anything.

if you bought the domain already they should have had a TOS that you agreed to. if you have not already - read it - that has all the information you are looking for.

it's my belief that when you mention pokerstars and other sites you would have to be careful of how you refer to them and there could be trademark issues
if all your doing is discussing methods, theories and styles of play then no problem
but if it's more than that since you have bought the domain name maybe consult an apropiate lawer with your intentions before jumping in the water blindfolded

go daddy is not particularly friendly to poker sites - if you have links to sites they will shut down your pages - not sure if poker talk will get by them either

probably not even worth trying

poker sites are in foreign sovereign countries with bank accts all over the world and computer servers on indian tribal lands in canada (also sovereign)

they must have a good reason for this, right? right.
