Ref: Problems with HM locking up on my computer - Dell Latitude D800 1.60Ghz 2MB
Below is a copy of email from HM.

problem is in number of players in this MTT
theoretically HM can operate with max 32767 players
you have 40000 - more than limit
so the only solution is to delete this huge file after playing
or (may be better) = temporary set Stars not to save summaries (when you play this MTT)
and restore this setting when play "normal" sngs

I only point out the problem in hopes of letting classmates know of the problem incase they exxperience it. It took me 15 days and hours of not playing to solve the problem.

I just do not save summaries of large (over 30M) MTTs.

Getting PokerStars is easy: download and install the PokerStars game software, create your free player account, and validate your email address. Clicking on the download poker button will lead to the installation of compatible poker software on your PC of 51.7 MB, which will enable you to register and play poker on the PokerStars platform. To uninstall PokerStars use the Windows uninstaller: click Start > Control Panel and then select Add or Remove programs > Select PokerStars and click Uninstall or Remove.
