Alright, let's first go real basic.

Go to the main page. Everything from the "Tournament" tab and to the right are tournaments. Everything to the left are ring games. Select your catagory and click on any that interest you. For sake of convenience, click on the "Sit and Go" Tab. Reading from left to right, the next row tells you if it is one table, a satelite, or a multitable game. The next row is the stakes you will be playing, "high" to "micro."

Again, go to to "one table," "micro." Click on any of the games and you will be taken to the lobby of that game. After that, click on "register." If you have the cash, you'll be seated.

Hey Kevin, welcome to the pso and the forum.
Make sure you're on pokerstars.com and not pokerstars.net also. The .net client doesn't support the pso. Did you pass the core quiz for the pso?
I will be sending you a pm. If Cairn hasn't explained enough, let us know here. Lot's of friendly, helpful people here so let don't hesitate to ask questions if you have 'em.
Take the time to look at all the info in the tabs up top, starting with the league tab to understand the scoring and the leaderboard.

Getting PokerStars is easy: download and install the PokerStars game software, create your free player account, and validate your email address. To uninstall PokerStars use the Windows uninstaller: click Start > Control Panel and then select Add or Remove programs > Select PokerStars and click Uninstall or Remove.
