Well, I decided to play 100 of the $1.08 ones to see what happens (and see exactly how they compare to the double/nothings).
Here's the results.... could have been better, but hit one great stretch and 2 variance stretches in it.

low water mark: -$3.62
high water mark: +$6.33

cashed in 70 of 100 of them for a total of 44 VPP and $2.05 profit.

I love how everyone and their dog is setting up these little 100 game tests, and bankroll building challenges, and ROI experiments etc. etc. etc. and so on and so forth. You're treating poker like it's some kind of game. I mean, WTF. Seriously.

J/k. Those are some pretty break-even results, though. Are they better or worse than your DoN runs?

I've only played a dozen or so of these but I liked the DONs a lot more. I understand why pokerstars got rid of them though.

Certainly the style of play is nowhere near the same in the 50/50s as the DONs. DONs are A LOT tighter.. given the fact that I only played $5 or $10 DONs and the lowest ($1) 50/50s.. but I venture to say that I would still be pretty close to being accurate. The doubles were all about Survival.. a good PSO strategy could be well used in them.. that is out the window with the 50s.

I think I'm naturally more of a shovemonkey than a TAG, so I kinda like the Fifty50's.

Over the last couple of years, I've played 400 of the D/N's... getting VPP's. Was absoutely dead even in them (won 220 of 400).

for the double/nothings, the entrance fee is $1.10 and winners get $2 each. You have to win 11 of every 20 of them to breakeven after the rake.
