okay it looks like we have 5 more members for March which means $380 to payout in stakes. I am posting some changes so please read and comment. I have clarified the buy in rule.

Corral League Rules Mar 2011

1. All participants must send $10 to 19honu62 prior to 48 hrs before the 1st scheduled game. Any monies won in previous month will be distributed as soon in the new month as possible.
2. Late participants in shipping cash before game 1 starts will be able to play but be ineligible for the stakes for that month only. Once game 1 starts no new members will be allowed to join until the following month.
3. The total funds collected will be held for a three week period at which time the winners will be staked.
4. The league will run from Wed Mar 2 - Sun Mar 20 and consist of 12 games of NLHE
5. buy in for each of the 12 games will be $1.10 paid to pokerstars through registration on site.
6. Format of the games will be 2000 starting chips, 10 minute levels and a break at 55 minutes past the hour
7. The winners of the stakes will be paid to the top 11 finishers in the 3 weeks with a minimum of 6 games played of the 12

One question, rule 19. All members share equally in any winnings shipped back to the group

Should it also say ......in any winnings, including the buy in's shipped..............

Not trying to split hairs but as written Rule 18 only fits certain situations.

Take for instance a $1000 hit in an $11 stake.

Shipping back 55% translates to 5 times the buyin in that instance.
I am fine with shipping the buyin+rake and then 50% of what is left but not so much with the rule as presently written as I can see it causing a problem if/when one of us hits big.

I don't understand rule 17 please clarify.

If you do not play your stakes in the week all money will be shipped back to the group and you will forfeit your spot for the following month.

I understand the part in black, but am not sure about the portion in Red.

wow this month you had issue with shipping buy in back now you have issue with this

come on whats the big deal its a couple dollars

1000 - 11 / 2 + 11 = 505.50 new way is 550.00 difference of 44.50 which you wil get some back on the split , I think the we need to worry more about the group then the individual is more important, no group then no stakes

It is a penalty for those that do not honour their stake. For instance if annie or spudder cannot complete their commitment for Feb ( as they are the only 2 left to play I beleive ) on time they will forfeit thier chance to play and be a part of the group for March.

I never had an issue with shipping buyin back just wanted clarification of the rules.

I don't really consider $40 a couple of bucks but that is just me.

Look at a $3k hit or basically a win in an $11.

Is it fair that the horse should ship back $1650 to the group and keep $1350 on an $11 buyin.
Now we are talking over $200.
That is all I am trying to point out.

The formula you posted above is the one I am inclined to see as correct.

I am not an expert on staking but after browsing PTP and a couple other sites I saw that staking contracts are written in a variety of ways including a gradual increase of percentages that go to the horse for especially deep runs such as Final tables etc.

I am fine with the ruleset that is developing within this group other than the 55/45 for the reason I showed above and just want everything to be clear to all involved.

I think for simplicity reasons, we should just split the money 50/50 and be done with it.
I dont think this thing was meant as a real stake, if it was then the people who lost their stake money would have to have makeup and I dont think anyone wants that. If the voting is still open, I think I just vote for an even 50/50 split.

Shipped $10 for March BTW
