Hi, I am praying for all the people around the world and especially the people in Japan, as they had an earthquake of 8.9 hit today with a 7.2 aftershock and wave after wave after wave of tsunamis hitting there. I was wondering if we could somehow get a tourney together and have the money go to Japan to help them out. Not sure how this would work, but I think it would be godo for something like that to happen. Any suggestions by anyone? If so please post em.

I would be into participating in that Billy but I think as good a gesture as it is the logistics may be a bit cumbersome.

I would just call on everyone to give a good thought or prayer to the people of Japan as this looks like it's going to be a full bore disaster when it sorts out and to all the people in the path of these tsunami waves that will be making their way across the Pacific today (Hawaii appears to be in the path of a big one).

As to aid I'm sure we'll see the relief hotlines go up at some point today and maybe each of us can try and do what we can that way as well.

But if there is a sensible way to go forward with Billy's idea that would be great. Maybe the Mods or Staff and Admin could give us a thought here?

I remember some time back, maybe 3 years that PS put up a tourney at different level buy ins that were for a relief fund of some sort, can't remember the particular fund name though.

PS disclosed that it wasn't actually a tournament, but that the proceeds from any buy ins were to help the disaster. The buy in levels ranged from $1 up to $10,000 if I remember correctly.Perhaps PS can take the initiative to set something of similar fashion for this DISASTER.

I'd be willing to set up a home game to have proceeds go to purchasing ready to drink protein shakes (vegan) to have sent to Japan.
