Mmmm Fish wanted to partially stake me in a 2R1A MTT. A few other people joined in too, so I'm keeping a thread open to post updates and such.

Tourney starts in about 15 minutes. #371709742

Let's hope this one pans out.

First break just started. I've been dealt six hands, and three quarters of the cards I've been dealt have been jacks, tens, or nines. Weird. One guy at my table seems to be playing the game like it's an unlimited rebuy, but he's only buying T2000 at a time. Also weird. Lost some chips on a hand where I held tens and was against an up-and-down straight draw (55), and a set (44). Folded on the flop when I got squeeze raised.

Back to the action...

Instant replayer not working anymore. I'm not getting new hands.

There's a complete donk at my table, who has a big stack (yes!!!). I would've stacked him and another player a few hands ago with a flopped set, but I folded JJ to a preflop 4bet because I didn't have a read on the other guy (who did have QQ, so not the worst fold I've ever made).

This is actually upsetting me now. I can't see mucked hands because the replayer stopped loading ten hands ago.

Stats aren't loading either. Support's getting an email later.

Card dead at the moment. Overall, I've made no headway, but I am above the average stack size due to my double-rebuy at the start. Mr. Donk still has a big stack, so I'm lying in wait.

I don't really think it's any more politically correct to refer to someone as 'that guy who's bad'. But okay.

Second break just started. Before the add-on, my stack is T7280, and the average is around T6500. I have a few people at my table who seem pretty spewy, so I'm a happy Panicky at the moment.

Just got moved. Readless again.

I was hoping nobody saw that A7s hand...

I luckboxed, and now I have a Q of 1.4. So things are going well.

Gotta give Fish credit for finding this tourney. I really do like the structure. A bit beyond my regular bankroll, but if I run well, I might buy-in as an occasional treat.

Also, thanks for everyone who's railing.

Just stacked someone who was trying to bluff-squeeze.

At start of second break:

I have T19,021

Average stack is about T13,791

I'm in 26th out of 174. 45 get paid.

I'm going to review some hh's now (the video replayer still works for some reason).

You are playing great stuff Panicky; keep it cool on the lower pairs, don't get too committed...

As I said int the chat two Canadians topping the rankings.

Watch out for the Germans, any Ace and they will shove although there are a few good players; do not shove with A high card against them, they always get the rag. Remember AK or AQ is only a drawing hand and if they hit the rag you are dead in the water.

Smoke break but back to watch you more.

Got moved again. At this table we have the biggest stack at my first table, who still has a massive stack, and a Supernova. Sweet.

The Supernova just hit a four-runner straight to double up. Talk about throwing gas on the fire...

Panicky,

You are being overawed by players who are ranked above you but they are not better than you. If they were so brilliant what are they doing in a 4.40 rebuy. Widen yr range a bit but watch out for the supernova. Stop chatting. That is tells. If you have a big hand slow play it; do not three bet. Time to move away from the simplified concepts that we learn here. Move to the next level....

I think I'll still 3bet. I might slowplay a little, but I like to 3bet. I really don't get why I'm being bullied about my ROI, when it's the other guy who's running his mouth, though. I'm getting picked on and I don't know why...

Oh well. Back to the game. Almost ITM.
