Can these really be this soft? With the all the attention and action form the group regarding the 50/50s it got my curiosity going and I decided to try one.

I'm not a big sitngo guy and never played the DON''s but tried a $5 regular one today and it seemed ridiculously easy.

PokerStars Tournament #375211910, No Limit Hold'emBuy-In: $5.00/$0.30 USD10 playersTotal Prize Pool: $50.00 USD Tournament started 2011/03/15 11:41:05 ET
Dear freddysw, You finished the tournament in 3rd place. A USD 9.89 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

I remember Dave the Langolier saying these were soft and granted it was just one $5 attempt but it seemed a PSO style approach would work pretty well in these.

Looking for some more tips and other thoughts/advice. I'm thinking these could be a nice way to build the BR. Thinking of making 10 $5 attempts and going from there.

I'm in a $20 one right now freddy and I'm definitely liking them so far. I don't think the $20 ones are quite as soft as the ones below, but I am up in the moneys, which is good. Gotta love the characters you get in them, too. In the one I'm in right now, I'm seated right in between a Platinum and a Supernova, but about three people at the table seem to be very new to the game.

Not in it anymore.
PanickyPoker wins the tournament and receives $68.86 - congratulations!

If I had to give you one tip, it'd be to not nit up. Play hands that rate to be ahead, and as always, keep a close eye on your opponents' tendencies. It should yield +good results. Good luck, enjoy, and let us know how you run!

Sounds good Panicky and congrats once again - I think this is also the poker karma showing you some much deserved love.

Problem is, I am a nit so I'll have to work on that. I will try ten $5 50/50's next few days and see how it goes. Keep up the good work.

Sit & Go's. Filter to find just the Fifty50's, if you want. They're pretty clearly marked.

OK just played two more same time and cashed in both. 3 for 3 so far.

Incredibly one player who had signed up for the same two 50/50's I was in sat out the entire time.
Did he think he would make top 5?? Is he an idiot or has he had success doing this - I was dumbfounded. He blinded out 6th place in both it was beautiful.

Not too shabby. Anyone else have any numbers or stories to share?

My present ($20) table is unusually limpy (a $20 table, seriously), and this hand made me lol. You'll see why I'm surprised it's not a $1 table when you watch this.

You know, in all of the discussion surrounding the DoN cancellation, I never heard that come up once. Was curious about that.

I hope it doesn't though.

I've been using single table SNG's to build, but I wondered about the 50/50's. Think I know how I'll be spending my unexpected day off today.

The remedy included allowing only one player from China to register in each DON. I would have thought they'd have carried this forward to the 50/50's.

Are these the games where you get your money back plus 3-cents (I'm looking at the $1 + 8-cent game) for every hundred chips?

These are the games that in post #205 of the thread freddy referenced, you said you were "following as a cheering section."

freddy was talking specifically about the $5.30 regulars, you for some reason are talking about the $1.08 turbos and you were the cheering section for our group that is playing the $21.20 regulars.

Hope this helps....

I've played in 3 this morning - and in the money (easily) all three times. I think I will do some multitable grinding this afternoon. I'm playing the $1 level. If you think the $10 & $20 tables are easy, you should see these...
