I play a fairly tight game most of the time. I tend to do pretty good toward the beginning and middle of a tournament, but bomb toward the end. I usually have an average to better than average chip stack until the blinds and ante start getting really high, then they eat away at my stack while I wait for a good hand to play.
Any advice for playing the end of a tournament?

dont know whether i need to be a woman to comment in this section but here goes, when the blinds and antes start to get too big for your stack i recommend shoving with any pocket pair over 8's most of the time you'll only get a caller from ax or lower pocket pairs, also loosen up a bit when your on the button shove allin instead of raising it makes the other person less likely to call. my tips are be more agressive and less tight.

Thanks Triggz, I will try that. I am playing mostly MTT's right now. Am taking the Sit n Go lesson right now. There is a lot there to absorb, but seems really helpful. When I finish that course I will try the STT's.

Oh, ok - I mostly play STTs and have most of my success there, so can't advise much on MTTs, as I have only played a few outside of PSO. I did cash in a couple about two months ago and played real tight at the beginning and then got more aggressive toward the end, but I sometimes have the same problem you do on the MTTs.

Thanks to poker stars for offering a new course on MTT play! I took the course, and the advice to loosen up a bit toward the end and won my first satellite to a $55 buy-in tourney! Now if I can just avoid making stupid moves! lol
