Over the last couple of days I've come across many players who I had noted as Bronze stars in March having now changed to Silver.

How is this possible? I thought status changes only occurred at the end of the month.

And no. I didn't take the original notes on March 1st UK time before the server flipped over.

As soon as you reach 750 VPPs for the month your status changes.

My guess is some folks entered a buch of tourneys that took about an hour to play and yielded 6.6 VPPs each.

Are you talking about my necklace? I got mine last month on Mars. I don't think I will be wearing it next month. I'm 300 away (the last ten days, while at the computer, I've been typing way more than playing.) I was at 375 VPPs on the 12th and now I'm right at 450. I'm not going to push it, so my little "project" is going to end up knocking me back to BronzeStar. LOL

I also turn back into a pumpkin or penguin at the end of the month. I hope to retain at least 3 of the stars tho. I am on a quest for the elusive 5 stars by the end of the year. GL to everyone and their quest for the bling. -shark

I have a bad feeling about this.

The behavior I'm about to describe, is what landed me in the Skill League to begin with. And now, here I go again. The "60 Billion Milestone Hand" promotion has me drawn it...again.

I pop up three $0.25/$0.50 tables and after about two hours I get 50 VPPs. So now I'm only about 10 hours of play away from keeping the SilverStar (that I'm not using). Two problems:

1) I suck at ring game play.
2) My bankroll does not like in when I toss $60 out there all at once.

I'm walking away for now, but it is unavoidable, I'll be playing higher than I should, in a venue that is not my best, for a SilverStar I don't need and the hope that the spotlight will hit my table.

Wish me luck......

Don't bust your bank roll trying to build it man, relax stars will have many more promo's in the future!

I made it to silver for my 2nd time ever playing on pokerstars. I highly doubt I'll be keeping them for any amount of time as roofing season is getting under way again. So I'll enjoy it while I can!!
