i just qualified 1st with the top 5 getting tickets. This is the first tourney so far. the field was small but i shouldve been out alot. I seemed to do better when short stacked and had to push wither getting them to fold and doubling up.

The key hand for me was getting Q 10 spades with @$4k left and the blinds at $800/$400. raise....reraise..and push all in. i figured this was good chance to get a triple up as any. i ended up getting a flush on the turn and that sent me on my way.

Everyone at the table seemed like solid players and it was tough for a while a the final table.

Looking forward to the $1K. hopefully i can have the same luck there.

Congrats and Best of luck

I also feel i play better short stack but think one of the reason why is the plays you can make are simple and i think this the reason i enjoy hyper turbos as its very simple poker in the fact you can not get to tricky do to stack size

I woldn't raise with Q10s with 10bb's left... you are on late phase with less than 13bb's .. is push or fold...
and of course woldn't push after a re-raise all in but...
Congratz best of luck to u

thanks guys.

it was best hand i had gotten in a while. i figured this was the spot to gamble. id rather go out swinging than get blinded away. plus it was about 5BB left.

Alot of times i get that gut fgelling to go and ill talk myself out of it and wouldve hit a big pot. i will do this with alot of suited connectors even if low as the odds of having to live cards is more appealing than calling or reraising with a hand like A9os and getting called by A10+ and limiting my outs to just 3.

Is it the correct or textbook play? i dunno.

I had been aggressive towards the end. much more than i usually am. i survived alot of races but then would get blinded back down as catching something playable to possible to call was scarce.
