This thread is 100% inspired by Chris123.....his bankroll threads are awesome.....

some background I am mainly a Cash Game Player...I would say im about 75% cash games......20% SNG.....5% MTT's.....I of course want to expand my game to be good in each aspect....I also mainly as of now play Limit Hold em while bridging off into NL, and other games such as Omaha.....The following is how I am approaching my bankroll.........i do have accounts at different sites...poker stars is my main place of play though......and i occasionaly will play some poker at other places.....but mainly at those im not too concerned with building or sticking to a strict plan ......i usually only play 1-2 tables......but in the future i plan on expanding to a possible 4-6 tables

My Current Stars Bankroll is: $73.55....i had one limit session earlier in the week and I made a profit of $7.09...and then i lost 10cents on a facebook MTT

The following is my current strategy....I of course appreciate any and all input:

Limit

Overall:

Min Starting Point = 300 BB (Big Bets not Big Blinds)

0.05/0.10 Limit

1 Table: Min of $30
2 Table: Min of $50 (500BB)
3 Table: Min of $60 (600 BB)
4 Table: Min of $70 (700 BB)
5 Table: Min of $80 (800 BB)
6 Table: Min of $90 (900 BB)

****Move up to 0.10/0.20 at a min of $60
****Move Back down to 0.05/0.10 at $50

0.10/0.20 Limit

1 Table: $50
2 Table: $100
3 Table: $150
4 Table: $200
5 Table: $250
6 Table: $300

****Move up to 0.25/0.50 at a min of $150
****Move back down to 0.10/0.20 at $100

0.25/0.50 Limit

1 Table: $150
2 Table: $250
3 Table: $300
4 Table: $350
5 Table: $400
6 Table: $450

*****Move up to 0.50/1.00 at a min of $300
*****Move back down at $250

0.50/1.00 Limit

1 Table: $300
2 Table: $500
3 Table: $600
4 Table: $700
5 Table: $800
6 Table: $900

****Move up to 1/2 at a min of $600
****Move back down to .5/1 at $500

will leave it at that for limit.....and worry about the rest when i grind up to it

you must watch nanonoko's video
to max out profits on poker stars you also need points
as gold star I make $100 a month in bonuses
mainly through tournament dollars
in middle of march I switched to NL
I will never go back to limit
points explode on NL
1cent/2cent not so much
2cent/5cent has a few platinum stars who play it daily
I make 100 plus points daily on 2cent/5cent
this month I expect to make 6000 points
since my satellites cost 210FPP to enter and I win 3 out of 7 for $11 each or $33
I expect to earn $99 in T$ and $50 in stellar rewards .
It is only April 6th
already I have earned $33 in T$ and $50 in Stellar Rewards
I expect to win $50 more in Stellar rewards and $99 in T$
so maybe $220 overall in points and bonuses
If I make profit at tables also
my bank will finish at $400 to $600 by end of April
my bank started April at $300
all this on 2cent/5cent NL playing 10 tables at once
.
.
.
Impossible to achieve this playing limit poker unless I play $1/$2 limit
10 tables at a time
no I have not crunched the exact numbers
but the numbers I state for 2cent/5cent NL + 10 tables is accurate
.
.
.
so my advice
study videos on how to play NL
switch to NL ...1cent/2cent
play a mix of 6 max + full ring
I play 6 max only
once you "master" 1cent / 2 cent step up
you must spend 30 minutes a day studying NL on videos
do a net search
join ventrilo
points and cash is the key

No Limit Outline

Forgot to mention in Limit post That what is bolded is where I currently am at!

NL has much more variance and am basically looking at a min bankroll of 25 Buy ins (100 BB per buy in at each level)

I am expecting to get either 100$ or 250$ cash after redeeming points at another place which will mostly be used for NL...plus I am grinding up $20 at a small site playing NL

Poker Stars= Main Site
Site 2= Redeemable Site (RS)
Site 3=Small Site (SS)......only offers 0.01/0.02 and then jumps to 0.05/0.10

0.01/0.02 NL BI=$2.00

[B]1 Table: $50....(25 BI)[....Poker Stars...SS/B]
2 Table: $100...(50 BI)
3 Table: $150....(75BI)
4 Table: $200...(100 BI)
5 Table: $250...(125 BI)
6 Table: $300....(150 BI)

*****Move up to 0.02/0.05 at a min of $125
*****Move back down at $100

0.02/0.05 NL Buyin=$5.00

1 Table: $125
2 Table: $250
3 Table: $375
4 Table: $500
5 Table: $625
6 Table: $750

***Move up to 0.05/0.10 at a min of $250
****Move Back down at $200
****small site more forgiving maybe move up at $200 due to lack of 1cent 2 cent??

0.05/0.10 NL Buyin=$10

1 Table: $250
2 Table: $500
3 Table: $750
4 Table: $1000
5 Table: $1250
6 Table: $1500

****Move up to 0.10/0.25 at a min of $625
***Move back down at $500

0.10/0.25 Buy in=$25

1 Table: $625
2 Table: $1250
3 Table: $1875
4 Table: $2500
5 Table: $3125
6 Table: $3750

*****Move up to 0.25/0.50 at a min of $1250
*****Move Back down at $1000

occasionaly I will play SNG's/MTT's

SNG= 4% of Bankroll
Turbo SNG= 2%
MTT= 1-2%
Turbo MTT=0.50-1%

my chart for 1cent/2cent NL
$61.00 Profit
30,736 hands
48 hours
.
.
you only get 10 points per 1000 hands on 1cent/2cent NL
you get 30 or so points per 1000 hands on 2cent/5cent

hahha chris you beat me to the NL post.....I am a winning player... turning profit about 7/10 sessions.....the points will come in due time...i simply prefer limit at this point to protect my bankroll.....and IMO playing limit makes you a 100% better NL player.....I understand earing player points is an important part, but to me right now as a winning player i can earn enough to accomplish goals while using points as an extra bonus........NL will become a focus in the future as i move up the ranks.......Ultimate goal is to multi table at least 1$/2$ NL.....i appreciate your comments and input......to me points will come in the future as I learn the game more and all the subtle differences between types and games...also looking forward to joining your ventrillo group once I set it up

cheers

and thanks roomik

Is that right only 543 hands in 9 hours? that seems way low to me....nice comeback from the downers earlier

Sounds right to me. He did say he played one table for nine hours. Though my experience is limited, I'm finding the average hand takes one minute. So 9 hours times 60 minutes equals 540 hands. He did 543 hands. Now all he needed was a table where one or two players were absent for about ten or fifteen minutes, or have a few hands fold to the big blind, and you have those extra three hands.

Had a few good 2 hour sessions over the past couple days slowly grinding my poker stars balance back up.....Im also ranked top 500 in skill league and I am shooting for at least $30 if not $50 in my first month in the league!

Bankroll Summary:

PokerStars: $74.84
SmallSite: $22.94
Total: $97.78

will be getting a few deposits and bonuses in the near future and hopefully I will have a bankroll of about $500

might try some 25cent 45 man sng's tomorrow and try to work my way up the sng ladder to break up the ring games

cheers

I know everyone believes those 25¢ sng games are great for the bankroll, but you might want to consider the fact that after playing several hours, you are no closer to becoming an active player in the league. Why? You get zero vpps for them. So unless you reinvest that money into a ring game or a tournament with a fee, you can find yourself on the outs.

Just my opinion.

* things are progressing nicely....0.10/0.20 FLH has been up in down...am finding a lot of people miracle chasing which is to be expected.....will keep plugging away at that limit until i can get around $125 and take a shot at a higher limit.

PSO tournies have been up in down about -40 points last two days, and then +20 today....once again mtt's arnt my strongest....am ranked 700 and scheduled for a $3 bonus.

thanks for following
