Here are the updated top 10 in the battle for the four spots on Team USA through last night's action (Tuesday, April 12). JJems moved past foldin 11 into second place, while xmanmitch passed me and moved into fourth place.
The final four nights of action promise to be heartbreaking for somebody (most likely me!!). I had an abysmal performance in the $1.10 tourney last night, finishing in 99th after a couple of ill-advised bets put me into a hole and then I tried for a quick double up on an all-in with a 4-6-9 (all hearts) flop and me holding an A-9. A guy with A-10 (the A being a heart) called me, and lo and behold, the next card was the 10 of hearts, so he hit a higher pair and the flush on me all at once.
igotdblues is breathing down my neck in sixth place, with tigatele and the late-surging Johnnymac111 still in contention. Cougars and kyndlyon are starting to run out of time and will need a string of top 25 finishes to move back into contention.
There are only eight points events left (tonight's $11 against Argentina and then the final set of matches on Thursday, Friday and Saturday).

1. Albatross75 25,349
2. JJems 21,934
3. foldin 11 21,867
4. xmanmitch 21,347
5. teepack 20,616
6. igotdblues 20,529
7. tigatele 19,376
8. johnymac111 19,181
9. Cougars4444 18,092
10. kyndlyon 17,320

Thursday, Friday and Saturday are for the 4 bottom countries, they will be playing in a playoff to determine the last 2 countries

OK, well it looks like it is down to JJems, foldin, xmanmitch, teepack and igotdblues battling it out for spots 2-4, with me and blues needed a huge finish to have any shot.
