I will be going to my first REAL Holdem game next week. I am planning on entering a $60 or $80 Turbo Holdem game. Since this will be my first REAL tourney/game. Can anyone tell me what to expect ? How is a "Turbo" tourney different from a tourney here ? any advice or comments would be MUCH appreciated. Thank you for any comments. I will be going to Foxwoods in Ct.

I just looked up the $80 one and it has 15 min levels with 5k chips... they call it a turbo, but it's nowhere near as quick as the turbos on here. Most daily casino tournies I've played have either 15-20 min levels and you start with 2k or 3k chips. The 5k will allow you to be alot more patient early on.

What you'll want to do is to be patient the first hour to try and build your chip stack. The second hour will be when most of the people get ko'd. The bubble will normally happen in the 3rd hour (although with the extra chips, may be early in the 4th hour).

Good Luck!
