I have experienced similar stuff online, people will lol or even say things like stupid etc. I agree that its pointless and does spoil your time playing as you are annoyed then by somebody saying that.

My advice, do your best to ignore it, only respond to those who are genuine, dont waste your time defending yourself or worse going on tilt to try and prove them wrong.

Hi

You're gonna need to grow a really thick skin

You will alwys get people who want to twist the knife, mostly it will be to tilt you tho some people just have no class and will lol when they knock you out etc.

Take no notice whatsoever!! If you can't ignore it turn off chat for players like that or completely if you think your game might be affected by what others are saying to you.
Good Luck

Welcome to the league and the forum Plaws!
Vareck's dead on..you're gonna see every twisted hand outcome possible and take a lot of bad beats in your poker career, and some people will try every twisted way to get to you mentally. Thick skin is indeed a must..and it can be developed if you don't have it yet. Take your time and continue to learn. Turning off chat is great advice. (Now you must block chat bubbles too if you truly don't want to see what anyone's saying.)
Best o' luck!

Welcome.

I ditto what the others said.

But beware - being laughed at is the mildest form of getting it on here. I got very frustrated when I started playing on this site in january, because there seem to be an awful lot of sour losers. I've been called names, someone even asked me to swallow my chips and suffocate when I won a hand against him/her/it ... just learn to ignore those people. Fortunately there are a lot of nice and helpful peeps on here too. Don't despair if you run into unfriendly persons - it's a bit like real life after all.

Good luck at the tables!
