Poker School Online (PSO) is an excellent learning tool to refine your poker skills. The next step in your progression is to actually win a tournament. The PSO teaches patience and the importance of going deep in a tournament to accumulate points. The PSO is a great launching pad for those who want to further their skills, and improve their game. So what tournaments should North and South American PSO members look into to take their game to the next level once improving upon their skills and refining their game? PokerStars offers an array of tournaments to meet needs of different players, but which one is right for the PSO player? One tournament that PokerStars offers is called the Americas Cup of poker (ACP). Unlike other tournaments where you play one game and have to win the tournament to obtain a seat, the ACP is a tournament that lasts over a period of 6 weeks and you accumulate points. It is not a must that you win a tournament to win a seat in the ACP. What is required is that you are consistent in acquiring points. The ACP tournament lends itself to the skills that the PSO player has acquired.

Once securing one of the four available seats to play for your country, PokerStars provides each team with a professional poker player. Rather than the professional poker player competing against you, they are there as a mentor working with you and refining your game. It is just one more example of how PokerStars assist you in advancing your game to the next level. The ACP gives you exposure in playing in front of a live audience and TV cameras.

So what’s the proof? I’ve secured a seat to the Americas Cup of Poker for the second year in a row as a PSO member.

Thanks roomik. Due to the recent federal actions impacting the U.S. online poker industry, Team USA had to be withdrawn from the America’s Cup of Poker live finals.
