hey all,

firstly - am a new user...just like to say hi to everyone.

secondly - thought i'd share a little story from a home game i had recently...

three of us left in the game. i forget the full hand but i had an A(d) in my hand, K(s), Q(s), J(s) and T(s) all on the table along with another random card which was not a spade. I have position so wait to see what my mates do. first guy goes all-in, second guy also goes all in. i decide to get the hell out of there as something's obviously going down.

first guy shows a 9(s)...starts gloating, never hit a straight flush before and so this is the best hand he's ever had. the other guy just looks at him, smiles. and then shows A(s).

the look of devastation on my mate's face was priceless - the best hand he'll ever have in all likelyhood and the second best hand there is...only to be beaten by the only other hand that could.

absolutely priceless - he still gets upset whenever we mention it, which we do at pretty much every game
