A lot of American pros have left the country. Britain, Canada, Central America... The rest are at a card room near you.

lol nicko Stars paid out US players a while ago, and US players are playing on several sites, none of which are named PS, FT, or UB/AB.

I clicked on the cashier button, followed the steps to get my BR direct deposited into my bank account, and had it there a couple days later. LATE on a Friday. Smooth and simple.

If you're having problems cashing out from PokerStars, you should contact support@pokerstars.com and let them know.

I haven't heard from any other US players here that have had problems getting paid by PStars. In fact, everyone that I know of has been pretty thrilled about the promptness and support PokerStars has shown during this giant clusterfudge.

Good luck to you figuring out your payment situation and figuring out how NOT all poker sites are the same when it comes to US players.

To answer the OP... Personally, this US player is still weighing his options. But for now, he's still playing on PokerStars based on his preference for their superior software platform and their wonderful customer service.

I refuse to deposit on any other sites while this mess is going on. NO other sites currently, or ever have, offer the freeroll opportunities that PStars did.

So it's play money, live, or nothing...

Not only the Freeroll opportunities MC but also the range of games at EVERY level that Ptars has is simply unmatched anywhere. As a matter of fact I'm fairly confident that when it comes to MTT/SNG options for under a dollar, between a dollar and $5,$5 and $10,etc.,etc., there are more games being played at Stars then what any of the sites open to US players right now have available in a day all levels combined. And the games FILL UP here (especially how quickly they used to fill when we could play).

I'm like you,for the time being I'm pretty much riding it out and waiting to see what happens.

Agreed Mox, the other sites are horrible for MTT;s and sit n go's.. take forever to fill up.. I used to be able to load up as many as I wanted here and they would fill in less than a minute, at the site I am on now you can wait 10 minutes for a STT to fill up
Had a good day yesterday though after tilting off all my money saturday lol, won about 18 bux steamrolling a fish heads up and a couple of sit n goes

Playing at the same site named after the stuff diamonds are made of with roomik and a handful of other PSO'ers that are hoping to come back to Stars and the PSO again someday... (can't straight out say the name here)...

Grew my bankroll up to $158 at one point... placed ITM in a few tournaments and had great runs at the .05/..10 ring tables... short handed...

I don't know but I have almost made more money in one month than I did in an entire year at Stars... I love Stars too please don't get me wrong but for the time being it is better than nothing and participation in the forums is so very different but very kind and welcoming and by participating you also have other rewards like Saturday and Sunday forum bashes... they are tourney's with $1.10 buy in with like 20 people or so... after 10 or so postings you get the passwords to that... and the promotions are decent... I have already earned $12.53 just for playing and at the end of the month I will be rewarded just for clicking a button and activating my Super Money Tree I found on the site. I also get rakeback (this will not be possible for U.S. players to collect after June 1st so time is of the essence to get in on this...) every day at 35%.... this has been sooooo nice.... and let's see what else? hmmmm I suppose that is all I can think of at the moment? OH wait ... cool Werewolf game to play with the forum go'ers too... got an invite and all are welcome to join... don't quite know what it all is about but I see Sharkatack89 (now SendMeCookies) played last month and is signed up again to play this month and I can't imagine this guy wasting his time on something not worth it and believe he has said it is an absolute blast.... Oh and another promotion called the Quad Pyramid ... you get cash if you flop quads and this has happened to me three times already... easiest cash rewards I've ever seen.

It doesn't compare to Stars in a lot of ways but it has its upside too... yes the interface and such takes some getting used to for sure but as with anything new there is a bit of a learning curve or an adjustment period needed to find your groove....

I am with roomik on the waiting for things to fill up but if you guys would get your butts over there... this would be a mute point, right! lol

Lots of us willing to help anyone get going with a bankroll as well... in a pay it forward kind of thing. I just thought of something though... we sure don't need any bad apples migrating over so I better just stop here... well scratch that... if you're a bad able don't count on help getting going I guess I should say.... if you are a Moxie, mccrisinger, PanickyPoker, TheLangolier... (as I personally know these players are super people and care for the integrity of the game)... then come on over and join roomik and me, along with the other refugees... give it a try while waiting for any news about Stars... can't hurt, right? And besides... I MISS THE HECK OUT OF YOU MOXIE... so lower your standards for a bit and come slum it with us k, lol

hey michelle!! I am over there with the refugees. Seems like a nice camp to hang while all this mess sorts itself out. I do miss the round the clock free rolls here but it's a place to play. I wish I had more time to try the werewolf game but I am limited to night time play. There is many PSOers over there and hope to see more who can't play here. Take care all

I am also a refugee at the site Chelle and Roomik mention, and although I do miss PS dearly, I have been having a nice time in both the forum and at the tables. I haven't done as well as Chelle, but have managed to get my original deposit up 1/4 from where I started. I do credit my time at PS and PSO for helping me get to a point where I am starting to make some progress on my BR.

Games are a little different, but there are some fun twists to different trnys., like the All in or Fold-Em trny, among others. It does take longer to load up the SNGs, as Roomik mentions. Hopefully, as more people sign up, this will improve. I usually just find one that is getting close to full and register.

The forum over there is quite friendly too, with many participants from across the pond in UK and other countries. The forum regulars there are all good players who also seem to like having a good time (and I suspect several are sharks!). They do have a lot of promotions available too.

I did deposit, but some of the refugees have decided to play freerolls to get their BR's going and are posting in the forum with their progress which is fun to watch.

I don't think I would have survived w/o at least having somewhere online to play (well, I would of, but wouldn't have been happy about it!), so I am just glad to be able to play! Good luck, all.

I played one of those all in or fold sng's last night, quite interesting. Didn't care for it much, but it was interesting.

I'm on that network too, different skin though. I've been primarily playing live though, as the cash games on that network are somewhat nitty right now with all the US players coming over and playing on perhaps a shorter roll than they're used to. I actually have an account on the skin that you guys mention, been a good 3 years since I even logged into it though. I recently opened an account on a different skin with a good rakeback program and 100% deposit bonus up to 1K, rather than dig up that old one on the diamond place.

I am doing the same site as previously mentioned, but I have not been able to make a deposit. I do the 8 p.m. ET freeroll every night and actually won a ticket to a $2.20 satellite a few weeks ago. Played it on Saturday and blew it. It's hard to compete in rebuys when you can't rebuy. I had another good run going in the freeroll last night, but went out in 70th. Maybe one day I'll get another ticket. God, I miss PokerStars. These other sites have so few games going on at once, and it takes forever for the STTs even to fill up. The big tourney on Sunday is a $50K tourney! Boy, do I miss the Pokerstars Sunday Millions!

I played 3 of the AIOF now. At first, I thought it was just like playing bingo, but there is a certain strategy to the game (when to start pushing, waiting 'till the blinds are high to start stealing, how to build a bit of a stack from the blinds, who to target). Definately not "real" poker, but kinda fun once in awhile (I played a bounty one last night). I have been playing alot of the cash (4nl) tables too.

I have to say, Dave, I am so much a better poker player by taking your live trainings and viewing the recorded ones. I often hear your voice ringing in my head when making decisions (which usually leads me to the RIGHT decision - lol) (don't be results-oriented! don't play A rag! what range do you think they are playing? - I could go on and on with all your great advice). So, thank you so much for all your wisdom!

Your understanding of rakeback is innaccurate for US players after June 1. All existing players will continue to receive it...... all new players receive points at the same equivalent rate as rakeback.

I joined up over there. But I have tried 3 times to deposit money there by Visa and have been declined all 3 times. This on an account with $3100 available. Go figure.

So my wife and I are playing at the casino 2 to 4 times a week in live tournaments. We are money ahead and are making do.

I also joined the Ferrous Nobleman site and will wait until next month to see if there is any money transferred into my account from the staking club I was in. I might try to deposit some then.

Are you talking to me? I think I'm the only one that mentioned rakeback. I do understand they will no longer offer rakeback accounts after June 1, but players who already have it won't lose it.

I've seen the point for cash. Rakeback player can use it too except for the 6.5% rebate. So, unles they up that rebate program to 35%. There is no way RB and the new points system is going to equate to being equal. IMO, but, I've been wrong before. I'd just signup before the 1st if you want to take advantage of RB. GL all. -Shark/Cookies
