Hi, i've been playing poker for a nice while now and i do fairly well. But something that keeps popping up at me are poker tools... cool right? anyways, i've heard of many like hold'em manager, sit n go shark, poker office, and many more. So i recently downloaded Poker Stove and i find it great, but it's not quite what i'm looking for. i've seen more advanced tools which you have to buy which i will consider later on. So what i'm asking is do any1 know any tools that are free or have free trials so i can try them out, maybe even improve my game a little.

Most pay-money software come with free trials. But I think all of them take time to learn how to use in a way that gets maximum value out of them. So I recommend that you only download one free trial at a time, and learn all of the magical wonderful things that tool can do for you before you move onto another.

I use Hold'em Manager for tracking statistical data on my opponents. I also use Sit'n'Go Wizard for learning mathematically correct plays in sit'n'go's. They both have free trials. Can't think of other things right now, but I'm sure others know some names.

It should also be noted that Pokerstove is a tool I use almost as much as my heads-up display. You might not understand why now, but if you become a serious poker player, Pokerstove will likely be the most important piece of free software you use to improve your game.

You should also note that some free and pay-money tools are not legal to use, and could get you banned from Pokerstars because using them is considered cheating. Check Pokerstars' page on prohibited tools before signing up to use one.

Poker Tracker 3. Can download BOTH the NLHE and Omaha versions free trials. 60 days each. Can do one after the other, both at the same time, run one most of the way through and then start the other and have a little overlap...whatever you want. Filters are good on this one for hand examination, the HUD is very good IMO,play around with it to see which 3 you want to show all the time are best for you but in NLHE in MTT's and SNG's I found the 3 default options to be the best myself.

Good luck.
