1. chat mods can do nothing-
2. i report em all-
3. Staff can do something-- they can implement a rules test- that all players MUST take- to continue in the league-- they can then suspend or boot repeat offenders-- thus, overtime- this bullshyt will stop-

l hear you monk, but,

how many players now have no idea that this is a league? and they passed the test to play in it.

you can't force peeps to understand what there reading, also just passing the rules test, will not stop them from cheating if they wish to do so,

anyways just my 2 cents

cheers

Can't speak for the player Monk..but it is possible he was guessing your hand with the bet of 233. Or may just be commenting on your bet.
I'm sure not defending him,,, just pointing out a possibility.

I have to disagree though a little bit on the chat mods. You know that they don't let us see what happens in the discipline ring. But I think reporting it to chat@pokerstars.com is a better way to go. The ONLY reason I say this, is so that you receive an email back with acknowledgement of your complaint where they usually include some info...usually the "this player has been warned" comment will at least appease some players. But I do feel that chat mods do a little bit, but they just won't let us know.

it doesnt matter what hes doing Dan- is against rule 20 and affects the hand-- i wasnt folding there - with top top- the way the hand played- to that shuv- but if opp. was watching chat- he can safely take me off 33-- and feel better about a shuv-- he wasnt- as he insta pushed- As far as the other goes dan- my reports go to Security- where they are looked over by a poker specialist- and they send an email confirming the player has been warned--

Here- i will add the chat from a player- regularly in the top100-- and tell me that she hasnt done b4- when she states - its a strategy--

Yes clearly they are both in violation of the rules since announcing that you have anything while the hand is still playing affects the play of the hand. You have to wait until the hand is over before you can say "damn i had 33" or whatever.

I question if the players are ever warned to tell the truth I have noticed a few problems with the Security as of late. They send me a nice email saying they have given the player a warning and yet I see the players carrying on like nothing happened most of the time.
I ask them to note it on the account and they say they do and than when you report a repeated offender they send me a response about he has been warned and most likely doesnt know the rules.
This happened with De Hitman and I fired off a email asking why they tell me they note it when its quite clear they dont, otherwise they would not be sending me a email acting like this was his first time.I sent them all copys of every time I reported him and links to threads this time and still waiting on a response.

We need to change the rules to make the league more secure, because it takes a good part of the fun out when you know people are cheating every month.

I have had that problem with that player as well after looking at those hands.
Think I reported him for it as well,so its not his first offense with this issue.
Same response he gave me when I asked him about it and that just shows he never was warned to begin with.

Simple monkey, it's a game issue and not a league issue
If the player gets banned from the game, he will also get banned from the league
But the league can not banned the player if PokerStar doesn't.... very simple

I'm not going to go through all the in's and out, but I was a PokerStar moderator and the rules well documented on how and what a moderator can and can't do. There are plenty of warnings and suspensions before being banned.

So all I can say is continue calling the mods first with a copy to support

PS. You won't be able to change the rules and the consequences that have been put in place for years

What you are missing here Sand- is my point- it NEEDS TO BECOME A PSO LEAGUE issue-- i have only had to report 3 players outside of the PSO- compared to over 50 within PSO- PSO issues the ticket-- do they not-? nuff said----

I get what you're saying monk, but I guess you're not getting what I'm saying

The league is applying PokerStar rules, which is the main ruling body
If a Baseball player decides to take drugs, the team won't flush him, but the league will (league being PokerStar and team being the league)

Remember, PSO doesn't have access to hand history, but PokerStar does, so they take the decisions and forward it to PSO. So if no action is taken from PokerStar, that means there is no violation, so why would PSO issue one.

It all starts with PokerStar

That being said, in the email send to moderator or support, it should be mentioned in the email to advise PSO of the consequences to the player and therefore PSO can keep track. But again, if PokerStar was to do that and all they do is give warnings, there nothing PSO can do but to also give a warning.

Hope this makes sesnse
The right place to complain at, is with PokerStar

Monk-

As has been said, anything that happens at the tables you must send the chat log or hand history to support@pokerstars.com.

They are the only ones that can do anything about this issue. And has been brought up before, a rules test would be good, however, PSO gives tests for how to play and do you see people playing properly??

I have included many subjects about rules in my Weekly Roundup and will continue to do so, however, players still need to help new players learn them.

I understand fully- and believe u me- all parties are getting the report from the poker specialist at stars-- and hopefully PSO staff will start keeping track- and become a little more aware - that as a poker SCHOOL- they doing a great job of teaching shytty etiquette- by not addressing this issue seriously- !!!

Hello Robert,

Thank you again for your email to PokerStars.

Sebastian is unavailable at the moment, so please allow me to further assist you.

As you can imagine, many of the players in the PSO league are rather new poker players so they are not fully aware of all the rules like you and I are aware. Nonetheless, we do take action accordingly with those who violate our site and cardroom rules.

Your feedback has also been passed onto our Poker Room Management Team. It is most appreciated and they will take it into consideration in order to make a better playing environment for everyone at the tables.

I hope this helps clears things up. If there is anything else we can do for you, please let us know and we will be glad to help you. Best of luck to you in our games!

Regards,

Lawrence
