Was just wondering if anyone had a way to memorize the Proper pre flop strategy chart for limit Holdem? I tried making a set of flash cards but it's going pretty slow.

Not a brilliant idea .. preflop strategy is about so much more than playing certain cards; you should develop a good strategy over time with experience. I would prefer calling with 54s than KJ for example. But if you must do it at all costs... keep the chart open in a browser; refer to it whenever you get dealt a hand.

Ya how am I suppose to keep the chart open in a browser at a casino? 54 s isnt even in my playable hands list from any position. I think it's a good idea to memorize.

You may be better off playing a large session and printing out your hand history. Then compare your HH with your charts and attempt to find significant leaks. Repeating this process over and over until you get a general feel for your hand ranges and position.

I must say though, always playing hands certain ways can be predictable, and that is very bad in poker However, if you're just after a general feel of the game then I think combing over your hand histories is the best approach.

best of luck!

http://www.holdemshortcut.com/shortcut.htm found a system that you don't need to memorize the huge pre flop strategy chart. Was wondering how closely this system follows pokerstars limit Holdem strategy chart? Haunt had a chance to really check it out today.
