Reading Darkman's post regarding his sponsorship got me inspired. When I read the post I recognized something I'd been doing. Yeah, I was listening and learning, but I wasn't practicing what I'd learned. I'd watch a vid on Justin while playing. I wasn't immersed in the game. I was wasting or passing time (and money). I'm not sure what is was about what he said but it set off a few sparks. I immediately entered a 2.50 90 person SNG and WON it using his style of play.

And tonight, after 8.5 hours of play with 4 players left we made a deal. (Tired and working in the morning) I took home 1335 bucks. And yesterday I made it to 40th in a 17.5 K guarantee.

It can be done. Yes, I know this is a bit of a brag but the newer players need to know it's possible if one listens to those (Darkman, et al) who have proven themselves.

Good luck to everyone.

This is the hand prior to the tourney host entering and creating the deal.

Congratulations Red. Really pleased for ya

I get some flak in here at times for being what's viewed as a little "off handed" with people. If you look a little deeper than the swipe, I usually include something that's intended to make people think about what they're doing. Leave it to luck and you'll get nowhere. Apply what you've learnt and do it consistently and when the "luck" turns your way the rewards will come.

Might be nice to have a thread highlighting our members successes. Maybe the next person who has a cash that's meaningful to them should start one off.
