I'll take a shot at the first and last one:

1 --- Though these players cannot play online anymore, I'm guessing there is a sponsorship contract that runs through a specific time. Until that contract ends, these players continue wearing the colors of their site in live play. I'm sure the legal-beagles have considered Force Majour, but there must be something specific to their service contracts that maintains the sponsorship.

4 --- For now, there are a lot of other poker sites that do accept American players. It's time to start hunting for one. Otherwise, you'll have to wait for the courts to make a decision, and that can take another five to ten years. Even then, if PokerStars wins, they might withdraw from the American market.

lol. You probably should have heard of Lamb, Collins, and Devonshire before, at the very least. Lamb is leading the player of the year standings, Collins has cashed over 3M in online tournaments, and Devo, well, he's Devo. These 3 at least are not unknown or under the radar names.

Our thread-starter is up to his favorite tactic. He will post something intending to start a debate, something that will get members a bit miffed. Then he disappears.

Best thing to do whenever you see a thread started by this - - - person - - - is read it, have a good laugh, and then ignore. Your blood pressure will thank you.

After taking a look around our humble little village, I think a few nearby villages are missing their idiots.

#1 - probably
#2 - cause you dont pay much attention to poker, most of them are well known.
#3 - David Sands, better known as Doc Sands, and Erika Moutinho have been going out for 6 years. And yes he is rich, one of the most famous online pros.
#4 - move to another country and keep playing. or Invest in the publicly traded companies, Bet2Win went up 20% the Monday after Black Friday

Here...let me put a spin on this. I was reading an article about the lack of apparel with logos on it at the WSOP. Here was the official rule on events taped for television and Phil Hellmuth was actually required to remove his hat at one point because it displayed his sponsor:

A.
Primary Garment (front and/or back) one each side acceptable. No individual logo, patch or block of promotional language is to be larger than 12 square inches.
B.
Primary Garment (sleeves or shoulder) – one on each left/right side is acceptable. No individual logo, patch or block of promotional language is to be larger than 9 square inches.
i.
No single company name, brand, or affiliated and similar name or brand is to be represented more than once on any individual article of clothing.
ii.
C. Hats may be worn at tables intended for television taping but may not display any logo or promotional language , except for those logoed items sold to the general public through traditional commercial retail outlets.

I don't like to call rules dumb, but this rule sounds dumb. It means that I can't go to the Stars HQ in Vegas pre-ME and pick up a patch to put on the hat I already own, but I can pay $10 for a Stars hat and wear that. They'd look identical for all intents and purposes.

That's right, right?

Oh..and I almost forgot...these rules were put into place, not because of anything to do with what happened in the US, but because foreign television stations said they would not air any episodes with commercialism of sponsors in them, and ESPN did not want to lose that audience.
