I use Pokertracker and find it very useful in marking opposition for their style of play but was just wondering where there might be some help to get some more out of it especially given I am relatively new to the game?

Getting comfortable with the HuD customization and figuring out what stats you find most valuable should be one of your top priorities imo. I'm not sure if you use the default hud or not, if so, you should definitely spend an evening playing with the configuration options. I believe Lang had a Live training session on HeM, you can take some of that and apply it to pokertracker after watching the video.
