Hi,
I've been playing online poker for a good couple of years now and feel the only to develop my skills and help my online play more would be to start playing live poker. However, I'm not sure how to find any tournaments in the UK, whether they be big or small. Does anyone know how to find tournaments and how to get involved?

Thanks

Hi Loftus, a lot of local pubs have poker nights and it's normally a good place to start. There's a few national organisations who run them. The one I use to go to was a £5 buy in and they had local and national league standings. It was relaxed and attracted players with a wide range of experience. Lots of people were beginners, there to learn and enjoy.

Not sure if I can mention the name on the forum, so I'll send you a pm with website details and this will direct you to the closest place.

Cheers and good luck. DC

According to the website, The Goose Pub in Camberley is a couple of miles from you. Do you know it? They have a weekly (Tues) poker night.

Thanks for the replies!... YES! The Goose is very close, I'll have a look one night see if they do. Are you able to tell me what this website is, as you managed to find one that is 5 minutes down the road from me and I didn't even know they played poker in there
