Thanks in advance. I am going to try to get this to work.

First, I am hoping to find out if my play here was correct in terms of maximizing my hand or if I should have played differently. Any comments welcome as I am just learning.

I have no notes on the villians but my observations are that the first player who raised all in on a cat 3 hand or better, and when he had less this was his usual raise. The second player just called so I felt he did not have a hand. The big stack next to me worried me a little because he played fairly tight but always called when he had any pocket pair.

Sorry, I got the hand saved into the replayer but could not figure out what to do from there.

Thanks again.

I guess it helps to know that this is a SNG .10 turbo with 360 entrants and it was a 1/3 of the way through the field. I had been playing very tight throughout as I have only played 5 other cash games.

looks good to me, you got your chips in the middle with the best of it, got called by a weaker hand and got an 11k pot. what more could you have asked for?

if you'd called the pre flop raise or 3 bet lightly you may have been pushed off your hand on the flop since you would have only hit a gutshot and its very hard to call an all in thinking you may only have 4 outs.

thanks yahooza, I was thinking along these lines myself. Also the fact that it was a turbo with the blinds going up quickly and I did not have a great stack to make a run later I was thinking this is a good opportunity to double up at least if it held out.

With it being a cheaper turbo, I think you made the correct play. You isolated a person with a weaker hand. Unfortunately, in these types of tournies, since they are only 10 cents... people will stay with basically ATC for the majority of the tourney... which won't happen in a larger buy-in. You won this one, but in the future, be ready to lose some of these since people will call any bet with any 2 cards.

ok, thanks, so basically it boils down to the fact that technically it is the right play, but to be careful making it based on tourny cost/size because of the fact that it is almost a freeroll. thanks.
