2 very bad cheaters at 2nl - Fri Aug 12, 2011, 09:14 PM

I had two players join me at 2nl that had the same avator and sat right next to each other.
Both from the Ukraine and they both left when the blinds hit them in order as if it was planned.
So I did a search and found them playing at another table in the exact same order at the same table.
So I start watching and I see a hand where they are playing each other and I thought wow how odd for two cheaters to play each other..lol but the river explains it all.

Thats because we started talking at their table and they split up.
One got stacked on a table and they both left the different tables at the same time.
Kind of a comedy for me tonight.
I looked them up on PTR and think it explains things a little better.
One is a winning player and the other is the account that inflates the pot.

Vitos is the winner..actually.
IF you look at his graph its pretty decent.

Got another response but this one is addressed to my screen name.

Hello IseeCookies,

Thank you for your mail.

Based on a preliminary review of the situation you reported, a complete review of the players involved has been initiated. This will include checking on relationships, location and play.

Depending on our findings, the players may be contacted and asked to explain relationships and/or play. The entire process generally takes up to 2 weeks, but can be delayed if we don't receive prompt responses.

The poker specialist handling this review will contact you directly when the review is complete or if there are unusual delays. Thank you for your patience while we complete this process.

Regards,

My question is this.

If they have the same avator, same location and sit at the same tables in the same order how does it take 2 weeks to figure these things out.
I know a lot more goes into it but why do they always say the obvious.

I would like to see them say "We will be knocking on their doors exactly at the same time with 3 goons and rabid pitbull to answer some questions"! It would switch things up a little.

A midget will be hidden under the bed of Vitos and Ostrich in Stritoks closet waiting for the outcomes.

I know I post these a lot but they are good for learning how to catch a cheat at your table.

From the Ukraine? Goons 'n Pitbulls won't scare 'em.

Midgets, maybe.

That's also a stock reply. Nonetheless, accusing someone of cheating is a very serious issue. PS will not do it unless they are absolutely sure they can prove cheating. Not just "yeah, it looks like cheating" proof, but "Yes, we're prepared to prove it in a court of law" proof.

I haven't looked, but I find the whole same avatar idea a bit funny. I mean, if I were going to cheat, I'd have one player come in from Europe, the other from Asia/Pacific. Certainly different avatars.

Still, it's hard to imagine anyone motivated enough to cheat at .01/.02
