I won a freeroll entry to Tournament #428960511, which if won gives a ticket to ANZPT-Queenstown valued over $3000. 1 minute before the tournament was to begin it was cancelled. What happened here?

Not sure highland. Welcome to the forum.
Contact support@pokerstars.com about this issue.
Normally they compensate the players in some way. At the very least, you should receive an explanation.

You are registered to # 429912381

All you had to do is a bit of research
Look in Request/registered in, you will see the tournaments you are registered in

Probably your freeroll ended past the tournament time and since there wasn't a minimum of 3 players, it was cancelled and therefore registered you to yhe next available

When I initially made this post tournament #429912381 didn't exist. I did however receive an email from pokerstars explaining there was a technical issue and I will be registered the afore said tourney.
