My first memory of seeing Pack of cards, was my grand father playing 500, I was about 4, then when i was about 5/6 yrs old i had my first card game of Black Jack then not long after pontoon and then stop the bus(31).
First Time I remember playing Classic Poker was all so at this time.
Texas Holdem , Omaha, Stud, Razz about 2yrs ago, Horse just 4+ months ago, and just dabbled in Draw games.
Just wondering what Card games You first played?

My first experience with cards has to be the game of war. my dad taught it to me at the age of probably 3. and I've already taught it to my son who will be 3 next month. I taught it to him about 6 months ago, to help them with number recognition. we only use 2s through 10s for now,but the kid LOVES it, and wants to play almost every day. great game for the kiddies.

Why I asked this Question was,
Dose the games(card games) u first played or have learnt in the past, effected/influence the way u play Texas Holdem?
I like playing Razz, stud, and I notice a lot off USSR/eastern European country's play in them, and i wonder if the games the person play ( popular game in USSR is Durak * IS THIS WHY THEY GET THE DONKS LABEL?), in what ever country, dictates the way u look (style's) at playing Texas Holdem (Exp; u started playing Razz first, then u learn't just how to play Poker/Holdem wouldn't you be thinking A 2 3 4 5 is the nuts, instead of A K Q J 10 (royal flush!) ?)

"Durak is a card game that is popular throughout most of the post-Soviet states. The object of the game is to get rid of all one's cards. At the end of the game, the last player with cards in their hand is referred to as the fool (durak)."
