how many more until the bubble bursts and what type of tourney? If only 1-2 in an mtt, then I'd clock before playing it, to get ITM. If this is a single table sng, then you've got a good amount of time before the bubble.

If you're going to try and steal the blinds from the button, you've got two choices. Either shove immediately, or raise extra and be ready to call an all-in. Honestly, I'd rather shove first and put the pressure on the opp... and with AK, you've got a very playable hand if they want to call it.

If it's a single table game that needs the two short stacks and another to be out to get ITM, then I like the raise you made more and would definitely put all my chips in to their raise. I'd figure to be in a race with a pair, but with the opp having two unders, that's the best situation you can hope for preflop.

If it's a 50-50, then I think it's better to push if you're going to play it. If you get called, you're almost getting another buy-in worth of chips and you have a premium hand if you get called.

You're basically guaranteed to be able to fold to get ITM, but with the amount you can win by playing the hand.... I'm doing whatever I need to, to get a loose cannon's chips into the pot when I have a premium hand.
