I haven't been on the site for a while and wondered if US players are banned from the Poker School as well as the regular site? I used to play here every day so I don't know what all the changes are. I also still don't know how to get my real money back from my account- there's no link or info in the FAQ's. Thanks!

US players can still take part in the courses, many of the live training sessions, live training archives, forum, etc. What we cannot do is to play in any tourney that has cash awards or tickets to cash tourneys (like the old PSO skill league did).

To get the money from your account, you will need to open pokerstars.com, then click on the cashier, then it will have you cash out (or at least that's how it worked for me when I cashed out after black friday).

Thanks for the fast answer! I tried to get onto PokerStars.com but was blocked and rerouted to a link to download the dot net version. There's no cashier button available on that one, so I'm stuck.

Hey Cat, welcome back.
If you're referring to the old PSO, from before joining with Pokerstars, the games are now run on Pokerstars and therefore, US players can't participate at this time.
As the others said, there's a lot to be gained from the site so please take advantage and enjoy.

On the cashout, email support@pokerstars.com or paymentservices@pokerstars.com and they will be able to assist you.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Getting PokerStars is easy: download and install the PokerStars game software, create your free player account, and validate your email address. Clicking on the download poker button will lead to the installation of compatible poker software on your PC of 51.7 MB, which will enable you to register and play poker on the PokerStars platform. To uninstall PokerStars use the Windows uninstaller: click Start > Control Panel and then select Add or Remove programs > Select PokerStars and click Uninstall or Remove.
