Dear All,

About me.

I have been playing poker for about 7 years now, and mostly in the micros. I have started to seriously study the game here at PSO starting this August. I normally play NL Hold'em but enjoy Horse and have been known to play some Stud and Omaha 8 from time to time. I enjoy ring games but have been focusing a lot on sit and gos at the moment.

Humm Career high

I guess would have to be last weekend i went to Casino Rama and played 8 hours of live 100/200 NL. I felt very confident and had a blast. I also lost $60 in the second session i had one $1 in the first. I felt that i was able to play thanks to the great lessons here. This was my first Live poker experiance. My best online moment would be nearly 4 years ago here at pokerstars getting a second place finish in the Big 2.20 (although i dont think it was called that then.)

Best lesson learnt to date

I Guess that would have to be "you must review and evaluate your play" it rings so true when the Langolier was talking us through this in the lesson. I always feel i play tight but a review of my hands by position shows i'm looser in the SB and lose more Chips in the SB than any other position by a big margin - Scence i looked this up i have made a deliberate attempt to tighten up in the SB (it is still high over last 79 tornies but has also come down by 10%)

How I Improve my game

I attend the live trainings here at PSO as well as reviewing the videos in the archives. I have a number of books i am reading to help improve but this is not as useful as a live training and listening to the thought process as it happens. I also attended the recent play money tourney put on by Royal Raiser, which included some Peer reviews of play. I also play at the micro level 150 STT 25cent 45 man and 2c NL 6 max. I think the good mix of trainings really have helped my game.

Missing Items in Application:

- No Social Media Site links
(Note: Social Media self-promotion should link back to your blog and forum posts, not your application post.)
(Please show link to your FB PROFILE so we can see the back links to PSO.)

1
Go to "Facebook.com" and sign in to your account.

2
Click the "Profile" link on the top menu bar.

3
Go to the left column and click the "Wall" tab. The URL in the address bar will change showing a new link with a "?sk=wall" suffix. Highlight and copy the URL.

4
Go the forum and sign in to your account. Create a new post or reply to an existing one.

5
Paste your Facebook URL into the body text area. Some forum platforms require you start and end links with a special tag. Other message boards turn "http" links into clickable links automatically.

6
Type a message about your link and give one or more reasons to the forum members why they should visit your Facebook wall.

7
Click the "Submit" or "Post" button. Your Facebook wall link is now posted in a forum message.

Grade B, if you want to be considered for Week #2 of the Member of the week promotion, you have to say so on this thread.

Your current application post is fine, you just need to post that you want to take part again.

Remember to keep your PSO links on Facebook current, because views count big time!

Is this views of my Facebook page as i only have 20 odd friends on there and some family members and so will not be generating a lot of hits.

or is it views of posts within the forum, which I am far mor active in.

Do i need to start a new thread for each week which i am more than happy to do

(as a lot of my silly questions are on this one.)

Hey Grade b,

We are counting the whole amount of traffic including social media. So social media is a good way to promote your best blog and forum post BUT when your content is really good it will produce a lot of traffic on itself with it's quality. So don't worry when you are not a social media expert at all

You don't need to start another thread, just update this application regulary and post to participate another week. You will def. be eligible for the second week, so don't worry^^

It's been fun to have a bunch of us attempting Cowboy's Challenge all at the same time, through the ups and the downs (and the ups and the downs ) ... the one constant being the +EV of the learning experience, eh?

Good luck with MOTW!
