These are a few of my favourite things.

I've been meaning to do this for a while but never got round to it. Not sure this is in the right place either so if the mods could move it if it's wrong?

I've spent years trawling the internet for articles, free software etc and so I've compiled a list of links for anyone wanting to improve their game. It's not a huge catalogue but as they say, quality is better than quantity.

Read more: Chat Violation - PokerSchoolOnline Forum http://www.pokerschoolonline.com/for...#ixzz1e6i8kTJR

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/23...stakes-778377/ - Great great article concerning 180 man SnG's by furo from 2+2

http://www.gamblingsystem.biz/books/2p2NL6max.pdf - Quality guide to 6 max cash games and it's freeeeeeeeeeeee

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/78...impers-431379/ - This article is about isolating which was a concept and part of my game that I struggled with for a long time. This will certainly help both you and your bankroll.

FREE SOFTWARE

http://www.pokerstove.com/ - pretty much the big daddy and a must for every poker player. It's a little daunting at first but poker isn't an easy game

http://www.universal-replayer.net/ - if you don't have HM or PT3 then this is an excellent alternative for reviewing entire sessions. It runs using Java so make sure it's up to date on your computer

That's pretty much it. Like I said there isn't a lot but it will certainly give you tonnes to think about and plenty of work to do. If you haven't already then I'd also highly recommend the video's posted on the site already.

Good luck people,

Pt

great post +1

To the free software I will add
FPDB (Free poker database) http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawik...itle=Main_Page

it's an open source tracker database / HUD supports most sites and plenty of games other than holdem.. Slightly harder to setup and use than PT3 or HEM but the basic functionality is there.. and it's FREE. Oh and it's multi platform so if you are one of the minority (like me) that uses linux, it runs without hiccups on there.

Been using it for a few weeks now and it's helped me both with improving my game with the HUD and analysing my results / possible holes by using the database

That's awesome.

Nice one

If anyone else has other resources that they'd like to share that have helped them with their game then please do share.

A couple of links have been removed but if you look up:

"things it took me a while to learn" this is an awesome article written by an excellent poker analyst, Tony Dunst aka bond18

and a great piece of software/spreadsheet:

look up "JITxpert pushbot" for the spreadsheet and manual.

If you love tournament poker then these 2 really should be within your grasp. It's a shame they couldn't be posted here.

Here's another addition for all you folks looking to grind the micro stakes

*Link removed. Please see our conditions of use!*

A very recent compilation of a blog written by Verneer and made into a very handy pdf file. There isn't alot of written info out there concerning strictly the micro's but this is one of them. It covers everything from preflop hand ranges to hand reading etc etc etc.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/69...2010-a-676130/

And here is a link for the original blog that contains all the replies from readers on 2+2 which makes for some very interesting reading

It really is excellent

It's a sytematic training drill a.k.a things to help you outside of play.

I'm gonna start making sure I do these exercises for at least 45mins a day.

Hopefully it'l pay off

Finally had the chance to check out that 6max micro-cash guide ... looks like a good read! Not too complicated, and with explanations.

Not sure what it is about cash tables, but I just haven't seemed to be able to get the knack of them ... still a goal of mine to want to give them a try though ... ever the optimist (probably to a fault )
