Is it weird that instead of going out and getting hammered or just generally going and hanging out, id rather stay in and grind on the tables? haha i love the challenge of pokerstars and making some dollar

No weirder than the amount of time some people spend on Facebook games like Farmville.
And they can't make any coin!

In all seriousness, make sure to get some exercise every now and then.
And I don't mean lifting 12 ounces at a time.

I don't think it's weird, poker is and endlessly fascinating game. It's kinda like chess, there are so many possibilities, so many reads, so many weird hands that the villian could have. I enjoy learning, that's why I got involved with computers early in my career (think DOS, if anyone remembers that). Endless learning appeals to me.

You cannot be the ultimate grinder until you make me some coffee!

Is it weird to get hammered and play poker.
Most of my biggest wins were after 8 or more beers.

No weirder than the precipitous falloff in my porn downloads after discovering Stars.

I'm Hearing You.
But I should mention most of my biggest mistakes are after 9 or 10 beers.
What do they call it? Martingale I think. (Dumb ass might be a better name)

Sometimes it is better to be lucky and win than to lose while you play well

+1

I think if Nanonoko is able to make a good cup of coffee he would qualify as the ultimate grinder.

if you are grinding 6 to 8 tables you are in position to get the side benifit of VPP's and FPP's and Tournament Dollars.
None of those are worth chasing if it effects your win rate , likewise none of those are worth chasing if it means it leads you to poor bank roll management . At Gold Star status in 3.5 months , starting at bronze star and $50.00 bank i was able to get $150.00 per month through points alone . It was a mixture of all 3 which average out to $150.00 per month.
I'd like to chat with you a bit some time.
