You do have about 40BB, but you also have a premium hand.
Did you have any reads on the opponent? Was the opponent playing many hands?

The one and only way that I fold to their shove is if the opp was playing basically no hands at all and was only showing down AA or KK and that is probably not the case.

I like the initial raise and the call, as if you win the hand, you're going to have a very large stack of chips that can set you up for a deep run in the tournament. Unfortunately, you got unlucky with it (you were a 54% favorite to win the hand preflop).

Exactly what JWK said here winz. Minus a specific read on a very tight profile player who has shown down with AA/KK hands I'm never folding QQ here. And even with that read it would be a difficult fold because I would be asking myself why would an apparently competent player would want to punt value with AA or KK by over betting the hand so much.

Only hands that have you beat here is AA or KK. Only hand that you're essentially flipping with is AK and you're a narrow favorite there. To me this is a call all day long unless I have that specific read. And even then I'm going to be very much on the fence as to fold or not.

Well played I think, just run better next time.
