hi all couldnt generate hand with tools strangely enough as yet again having a high volume of bad beats grrrr, right anyway to the point, and i dont care what you say this just isnt right all the time it seems to happen.....i could post you hundreds of these type hands i get bad beat with, my percentages just dont seem to hold up,you can see from my opr im up in the rankings since i started to play my game and ignore this type beat, stoped tilting and still plus poi on my 8 dollers,so my question why does this always seem to happen to me and how did i play this hand wrong was text book play in my opinion, like most of my plays are,i read the situation perfect yet again but well you can see it....

From what I can read of the hand, you played it fine. Villain shoved with mid pair and a runner runner str8 draw, which is pretty silly. You were right to call, he just got lucky,

Your questions can be answered by a famous bumper sticker.

"Shit happens"

It's poker. Get used to it

Yeah dude if your going to keep track of all your bad beats, you will be quickly overwhelmed. I had my own bad beat thread once while I was 9 tabling micro stakes cash tables. I had to give up after a few days because I couldn't keep up posting them all. Talking like 4-5 100% certified bad beats every night (playing 3-4 hours).

It is variance. You don't understand what's happening because you don't understand variance. There is a very good reason why bankroll management is important and why you need 20-100 buyins for various game types. It is because of variance! A downswing in bad luck could cause your bankroll to plummet 5-10 buyins even if your a profitable player.

It happens to everyone... because variance has no prejudice.

A lot of bad beats are from bad players playing there weak hands too far. This creates an opportunity for them to get really lucky once and a while. Play better players if you don't want to get insane bad beats as often... not that I recommend doing so.

A lot of players will open shove mid pairs and sometimes any pocket pair. Is it a good play? Probably not but a lot of people will still do it anyway. Please believe me, you WANT players shoving when you have them dominated as this WILL pay off in the long run. Take it from someone who has multiple concussions from banging my head into a wall... if you play to win every pot or every tourney you will quickly lose interest in the game. Instead try and play to make the correct decision every time and then whatever happens, happens. This will lead to you becoming a winning player over time. Also, I did notice in a lot of your posts you seem to think you have the game figured out. Well, you may have the math side figured out but that is a tiny part of poker. Daniel Negreanu said he had to change and adapt his game a couple of years ago to become relevant again. If a top 10 player of all time hasn't gotten the game completely figured out there is plenty left for you and I to learn. Merry Christmas and don't give up. See you out there.
