I wasn't involved in this hand, just witnessed it, wonder what the odds are on this hand??

Joy,

That one's interesting. You don't see the board get a royal very often.

There are 5 cards that can start a royal flush, A, K, Q, J, 10 and since you know 4 player cards, there are 48 left in the deck.

5/48 for the first card, 4/47 for the 2nd, 3/46 for the third, 2/45 for the fourth, 1/44 for the last. If you multiply that out, it's a 1 in 1,712,304 chance if two opps hands are known for any royal in hearts to be on the board here.

Thanks for the breakdown, I knew it was a pretty long shot, first time I've ever seen it!!
