When this "Open League" started, you needed to get registerred within 2 minutes, or forget about it.

This month, I have been online waiting for tours to open, they open, I click register, and 2 minutes later I get this message

"Registration is now closed"
shut out for sitting here for 15 minutes watching for registration to open. time to go play curling.

hi having the same problem.
sitting in the lobby waiting for registration to open for the open league and after 4 failed attempts( clicked reister and then ok to confirm but noting happens) on the 5th attempt tourney was full, less than 1 minute after registration opens.i have had this problem alot recently. with over 200,000 players online and only 10,000 seats in the open how about increasing available seats to 15-20,000?

It is an ongoing issue which members seem to complain about but I have never personally found a problem registering. I simply have the tourney already open, sit down a minute before a quarter to and hit register as soon as it appears.

Edinfreeman plays nearly every tourney and has never reported the problem either; you just have to be very fast on the trigger!

Another member posted about increasing the numbers but because it is a freeroll I don't think that will solve the problem. I am sure they will look at it and provide some feedback.

Cheers,

TC

thanks TTC. i'll try from the tourney lobby instead of the main lobby.
more seats would'nt hert though or maybe giving pso members prioity if thats possible? or is that just a silly idea?
see you at the tables

I saw my name mentioned above so better add my thoughts.

Although I have never personally failed to register for a tournament I wanted to get into in PSO Open Skill League, this is only the first month I have played it since July 2011 and it does fill up much faster now with the freerollers - so it is a concern and I do my best to avoid it.

I open the tournament lobby 5 minutes before registration, When the 'tournament starts in 1 minute' changes to 'tournament starts within 1 minute - I put the cursor where I know the register button will be in the bottom left of the window and I stare doggedly at that spot then click as soon as it appears, and immediately click 'OK' in the popup to confirm. Sometimes I get the queueing message but have always got confirmed as entered.

I don't know if it is an internet connection speed issue for some or just luck. Certainly being organised and concentrating on registration must help, but it is easy to get distracted - so if I am in games at other tables I sit out for a few minutes so I can concentrate on registering.

I doubt any changes will be made until the US customers return, (when there may be a lot of changes). I wouldn't really want the number of tournament entrants to be raised, and would prefer that a pre-qualification through PSO membership/core quiz was reintroduced. I understand PSO/PS are trying to attract new members so can see the value of allowing Freerollers into some form of PSO League - as potential new members are likely to be playing astronomer freerolls when they start out. However I would have a third tier Freeroll League for the freerollers who are not PSO members with much smaller league prizes. That would hopefully encourage them to join up and take the courses and pass a core quiz to get into the Open League. Then hopefully the Open would be populated by members who are really trying to learn and develop their game and play for the prizes rather than the tournament pennies.

Good luck with your future registrations and your games.

Hiya Guys

As this has been brought up before and we have looked at it, We have no plans to increase the cap from the 10k max it is at now.

I sorry you not being able to get in when waiting as that does suck, When I use to have this problem I would use a timer to warn me a min before Registration opened and was always able to get in.

Thanks for being part of PSO, and Best of Luck at the Tables

This is quite right.

Have the tourney lobby open.

Hover your cursor where the registration button will appear.

When the button appears, left click and immediately depress your SPACE BAR twice

Depress the space bar three or four times just to be certain, but only left click ONCE, a second time will cancel your first attempt, as the unregister button replaces the register button.

I hope that this helps ?

im not sure if this is being asked of me or other posters or Moderator's-

I was not sure if i was giving right info,
it not helps not being there 1 min etc before register opens & 1-2min after etc,
It helps PSO members get in before non-PSO members get in.(this maybe good or bad depends how u look at it?)
( other night I stayed up all hours night early morning to play/register into
11pm NZT game, for GF to ask for help i was gone about 1min, game gone Full.
3am NZT game,to have my Internet connection Disconnected for about 2min, game gone Full.) lol
8hrs time for nothing (well not really as i had a chance read lot of posts etc in this great form and few games Omaha, Stud)(this maybe good or bad depends how u look at to, i may have saved my self - points/lost + points?)
OL is my bread and butter for my Bankroll at moment

All Thee Best
