Now this not the best result, I got busted twice AK vs lower Arag, but I feel like I am learning, applying what I have learned, and starting to be able to make better reads and such.

I know its not a final table or a big prize, but its progess !!!!

Monetarily it may or may not be that big a deal to you skiny. Where it should be though is in the finishing 123rd in a field of 6077 runners. That's strong brah. You get that deep and you're genuinely a couple/three big pots away from having a real shot at the Final Table.

When you make your first FT in a big field (1000K and up) scheduled MTT for the first time...man you're sphincter is gonna shrink up like someone poured vinegar on your butt, you're gonna get the sweats and be chilly all at once, you'll want to puke and be slightly dizzy.

IT EFFING ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you've been there you know what I mean. If you haven't...you will. And THAT my friend is poker crack. It is what you will keep coming back for and keep improving, growing and grinding for once you get that first taste.

I can't wait to get back on that horse here.

Congrats on getting this far in a field this deep. Don't sell it short. Looking forward to seeing your next post like this sooner than later.

Big props Skinny.

Very cool to see someone put the time in to learn and then begin to see results.
You've been a welcome addition to the community so it's great to see the achievement.

Ok,

So I will be the first to admit that I am not the greatest player, but I am learning and have had some success as of late. I however, am a chronic email deleter and trash deleter, so I managed to save a couple results today that I am happy with:

PokerStars Tournament #504085957, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-In: $0.02 USD
990 players
Total Prize Pool: $19.80 USD
Tournament started 2012/01/21 14:55:16 ET

You finished the tournament in 12th place. A USD 0.10 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

And then I managed to :

PokerStars Tournament #500688443, No Limit Hold'em
Freeroll
7543 players
$2000.00 USD added to the prize pool by PokerStars
Total Prize Pool: $2000.00 USD
Tournament started 2012/01/21 10:00:00 ET
You finished the tournament in 298th place. A USD 0.80 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

I also cashed twice today in the 100K Depositers, without ever rebuying and without any addons.Mind you out in around 4500th both times, but in the $$)

I have also taken the stance that while these promotions are on, I will only use winnings gained to play micro stakes ( ie .02 cent 990 and .10 360 NL or .10 Ohama Hi)

Add to that what I hopefully gain in the Open League at month end (5.00) and then whatever I can muster in Premier ( not much, dont have 150 VPP, only about 96.5 right now ) so wont qualify for big prizes regardless of how well I might do.

Not much time to play poker these days, 2nd semester of school is daunting after 18 years away from it !!!! Damn kids, they know everything !!!!

Anyway, will keep grinding my freerolls, get my WR1 and WR1 tix, play the 100k's , play the leagues and try to build a bankroll for when I can play more in April-August. Maybe even try to qualify for SCOOP tourneys by then.

Learning every day !! Patience young grasshopper, patience !!!

Cheers

So, going to play WR2 today and hopefully get some $$$ !!!

My goal for the day as well is to place top 64 in LaVerrier's 8 game as it is the only Astronomers freeroll that I have never earned a ticket in !!!!

Will post if I am successful. I think that I am close to proclaiming myself a 2nd Level Jedi of Freerolls as I have earned tickets in every type of game except one.

If I had the time, I am positive I would top 50 in Open, but hard to compete against unemployed or retired people who play every single game, every single day.

Peace
