i have noticed that many players who are good players continue to lose to bad calls by lesser players.
in the future i would like to see a new idea i had come into effect. What if pokerstars were to change the way they operate and change the way things are done,by this i mean why not have a begginners section, mediocre section and top players section? in the buyins department, this way sharks cant pick on the beginners and sharks wont get donked as much if a certain skill level was needed to play at the different levels.

yes m8t im being serious would allow beginners to progress instead of losing there br all the time and vice versa those who want a serious thinking game would get it,i know poker tables should be mixed thats why we have sng and mtts and they could still do this, but a few begginner tourneys and cash games for begginners would make it a interesting concept, people are playing then for the skill levels to progress and not just the chips, would be a great concept in my opinion.

Alright, back to the original topic.

I'm thinking the division in player's section is done effectively via the pricing system. The raw beginner isn't going to invest $200+ in a single game or on one table. The smart player will begin at the lower end. As their skill and bankroll improve, they move up to the next level.

We have something akin to in in the PSO. The school offers the lessons and the chance to hone their skills through the open league. When the skill level improves, the person will be able to reach the 20+ VPPS level. With more improvement, the 150+ VPPS level. Rise high enough and the person moves into the Premier League, which is where the school's better players reside.

Though I'm in agreement about keeping the quality levels separated, it isn't going to happen. I can still remember seeing a red-spade playing the 1¢/2¢ games. Talk about your shark invading the fish tank. Yet this happens in any card room or casino. There are always the players who want to take advantage of such fresh meat.

As to excluding the maniacs and donkeys, it's impossible. They exist at every level. The best thing is learning how to exploit them and avoid the sharks until the odds are more favorable. That sounds line any tourney to me. You have to learn such things if you anticipate growing.

Terms of Service

Holdem, I am simply here to facilitate members and enforce the forum rules when necessary and keep discussions on track; my own opinions and views do not come into it and I try to do it as impartially as I can to the best of my ability and I always believe a word on the thread is much more effective than issuing infractions or bans.

You signed the TOS when you joined PokerStars, pleading ignorance that you did not read it does not excuse you from abiding by the rules. It would be in your interests to read the TOS both for PokerStars and the forum rules.

As Easy said, forum members tend to be a helpful bunch when it comes to Poker or anything else, but how you are regarded and what your reputation is to the majority depends really on how you conduct yourself.

To answer your original question any suggestions, feedback, etc by it's members will be considered by PokerStars but since they receive 1000s of such emails each month, they cannot respond on the merits of each one. If you have any additional queries, send an email to support@pokerstars.com.

Thanks for being part of the forum and skill and luck at the tables

Cheers,

TC
