Yes it can.
Also just like poker players the math can be used well or used poorly.

To me poker has 2 conditions.

PreFlop
PostFlop

Preflop I use

Where each decision for the next 1 million hands preflop is in fact a Bernoulli trial .

PostFlop is a bit more complex .
